    Breast Cancer Support Group

The BHC offers two ongoing support groups for women dealing with breast cancer. Monday 5:30 to 7:00 is primarily for women who are no longer dealing with career or children's' issues. Women in this group have a more settled life style and provide ongoing support to each other for all matters touched by cancer. The group is strong and vibrant. Wednesday 5:30 to 7:00 is primarily for women who ARE dealing with children and ongoing work/career issues. Support for cancer related issues is strong. The group, as with the Monday group, is fun while being serious as well. Both groups are available to women with Stage 0 through 3 breast cancer, at any stage of their treatment. Women do not have to be CPMC patients. Groups are free to patients and funded by the Notkin Family Breast Cancer Recovery Program. Groups meet weekly. Potential members are asked to call the group leader at 415-600-6287 to make an initial appointment. This appointment helps the patient and the leader get to know each other a bit prior to entering the group.
