    5K Walk and Run - 10K Run - Kids Dash

    Both courses run from Eden Medical Center to Lake Chabot Park and back. The 5K course is an out and back on paved surfaces. The 10K course winds along the rolling west trail of beautiful Lake Chabot, with paved and trail surfaces. View the course map.

    Eden Medical Center invites the entire community to our annual Run to the Lake on Sunday, July 7, 2013!

    5K and 10K race
    Starts at 8:00 a.m. in front of Eden Medical Center and continues to Lake Chabot Regional Park and back. At 9:30 a.m., participants still on the course will be moved to the sidewalk to finish the course (the finish line will be open till 10:00 a.m.).

    Kids Dash
    A 50-yard non-competitive race just for kids aged 3-8 starting at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is a winner and all registered children will receive a finisher ribbon, t-shirt and goody bag!

    Free Health Expo
    Open to the entire community from 7:30-10:30 a.m., the Health Expo features music, giveaways, refreshments, health information, free health screenings, and an expired medication drop-off center.

    Chip Timing and Scoring 5K/10K
    The latest in finish line timing! Timing Chip will be attached to your race bib. The Chip should be removed from the bib and attached to your shoe. It is a disposable chip and does not have to be turned in at the finish line.

    The top three overall male & female in the 5K/10K will be determined by the gun/horn start. Age division winners will be scored by chip timing.

    Instructions on how to attach the chip will be included with your bib.

    Overall Awards
    Top three Men and Women Overall in the 5K and 10K will be awarded gift cards from either Transport, Mizuno or Lucky Supermarket. Awards will also be presented to the top three Masters Men and Women in the 5K and 10K. These prizes will be awarded from the stage at approximately 9:15 a.m.

    Division Awards
    5K and 10K age division awards, three deep in men's and women's categories: 6-8, 9-12, 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & up, wheelchairs (5K only).

    To All Finishers
    All finishers receive the official Run to the Lake Dry-Blend Moisture Wicking Performance tee, Health Expo, great refreshments and gifts, and website results. Finish line photos by myEPevents.comExternal Site

    First Responders Division supported by SF Police Credit Union
    This division recognizes the services provided to our communities by First Responders (current and retired employees of safety departments, i.e. police, sheriffs, fire, ambulance, paramedics, etc). Medals and prizes will be presented to the top three men and women in the First Responders Division for both the 5K and 10K. Prizes provided by SF Police Credit Union: 1st Place $100 Transports Stores Gift Card, 2nd Place $50 Transports Stores Gift Card, 3rd Place $25 Transports Stores Gift Card.

    Winners of this division will be announced on Monday, July 8 on the Eden Medical Center’s Run To The Lake website and the awards will be mailed. Note: you must be pre-registered to be scored in this category and be sure to check First Responders Division box on the entry form.

    For Your Safety and the Safety of Others

    • If you wear earphones, wear ones that allow you to hear your surroundings and directions.
    • Sorry, no dogs (except service dogs) allowed on the course or in the Expo areas.
    • No bicycles, wagons, roller skates or rollerblades allowed on the course or in the Expo areas.
